A catch-all e-mailbox is one that collects all the email messages sent to inactive addresses. For instance, if your email address is info@domain.com, but someone miswrites it and sends an email message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have created. Only one mailbox per domain name can have this feature enabled and thus you’ll never miss messages because the other party has an outdated email address or has made a mistake. The downside of having a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving a lot of unsolicited messages, but this problem can be rectified by using an anti-spam filtering solution. It’s also crucial to bear in mind that a mailbox with an enabled catch-all functionality cannot redirect inbound emails to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Hosting

You will be able to create a catch-all e-mailbox easily if you’ve got a hosting account with us. The Email Manager tool in our custom-built Hepsia hosting Control Panel is full-featured, yet surprisingly intuitive, and it will permit you to activate various options, including the catch-all one, with no more than a couple of clicks of the mouse. All the mailboxes that you have will be listed in alphabetical order in this section and on the right-hand side of each of them you’ll find a mini "Catch-all" button. Clicking it once will activate this feature, clicking on it twice will deactivate it. Since you can have only one such catch-all mailbox per domain, our system will inform you if you’ve already got a different mailbox with this option activated or if you have enabled email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The in-house created Hepsia hosting Control Panel that comes with every semi-dedicated server plan that we offer will permit you to create a catch-all e-mailbox without any difficulty even in case you do not have much email/web hosting experience. All you need to do to accomplish that is click the catch-all icon, which will be on the right side of each mailbox that you’ve set up using your domain names in the hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Since you can have just one single mailbox with this feature per domain name, our system will notify you if you’ve already configured another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you want to use has email forwarding enabled. In case you decide that you do not want this feature anymore, you can remove it by clicking once again on the same icon. The Email Manager will also permit you to view your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
